Fixing the book, available soon

In the midst of life, I am working on the book to be posted here.  I have not been faithful to post regularly but will get better, it is a learning experience.  I am doing some fixing on the "Slave of Ireland" (new working title) then I will post.  I am excited about the opportunity to put the book blog here.  Whoever might read this ... thank you.   

When you organize your "like-to's."

A week end of crazy-busy.  I am not ready to write on my novel yet, not here.  But I will keep sharing my thoughts in this space.  Therapy.

I have done a lot interior decorating and hands-on renovations long before the do-it-yourself TV shows and dvd's.  I stay current with interior styles and products and have a great passion for people who need a "hand-up," and this is coupled with uncanny opportunities to meet people who are in the right place, at the right time, for what I do.  After discerning the need, I then go into their homes and help them sort things out.  With their needs being formost in mind, we freshen their surroundings ...  ultimately, I assist them in re-investing in their own lives again.  I love to help re-purpose people ... and things!   Shopping for and renovating small pieces of furniture, wall hangings, etc making them useful and great to look at, is fun and therapuetic.  I love getting something from almost nothing!  I charge nothing, usually bring my own equipment, many times buy the paint, do the cleaning, hang pictures, and window treatments, etc.  I even had the opportunity to buy a new sofa for one person!  I walk away feeling great, and so do they.  Rewarding!  Now my husband is getting into the act.  It's great exercise and makes life better.  The stories that come from this work is truly amazing, however their stories belong to them and is theirs to tell.

Building an artists life, a studio, & business

Well, today is a day of hope, since hope is not a plan, I will make it a day of planning.  I hope to build a studio to accommodate my writing and art work.  My work space it far to limited and to accessible to others.  Today I work on budget, materials and design.  While designing is pencil and paper, the rest hinges on budget.  Today's blog will not be the book I am working on but for now, I can collect my thoughts and maybe some of yours by reaching across the chasm via the social network of our time.  Great days don't just happen, I have to play a role. 

I will be encouraged in my endeavours and will not assume that they'll just happen.

Down my alley.

OK, I am thinking of directly blogging a novel here.  The actual rough draft.  It is historical fiction (or is it historic fiction?).  The information on the subject is substantial ... so is my family history.  I have some already written, but this is my first day blogging, and I need to think about this place, space, and this time.

I hope to inspire and be inspired to move on in the work I want to do before time here on earth for me is over.  I figure we all play a role, have a niche, live for a reason.  We all leave prints, the past has, the present is, the future will, collectively, one bearing on the other.  Presently, I have work to do, I have work to share. 

If you post, keep it clean, this place is meant to breath life into us, not extract it.
